Hey, everyone! Yeah, I posted. It means....that's right! I'm in vancouver now!
Actually I arrived here yesterday, but I didn't have time to write this. I've come to vancouver a couple of times before so I didn't feel like I visited here. I felt like "I'm back" when I arrived at vancouver international airport.
My host family is really REALLY nice. There are 2 little kids, Anna and Gabriella, in this family. 2-year-old girl, Anna, feels really comfortable with me. When I came this home, she showed me her house holding my hand. She is such a sweet girl. I play with her all the time I guess. haha I have some time untill my school starts so it's good to play with her!
I walked around the house for a while today. It was such a nice walk. I live in New Westminster, which was used to be the first town in vancouver. While I was walking, I kept thinking like it's cool to hear or see english all the time, every single minutes. It's been something I've really desired to I think. On my way to school, there are lots of cool stores there including my favorite place, starbucks. haha I'd gone to only downtown before, but I like my new place better than that. I can see lots of green here!! I'm sick of living next to the highway in japan. At least I'm gonna live here for 2 years so I hope someday new westminster will become my second home.
Here' s some pictures that I took today!
Enjoy♪♪♪

Finally...
Wow, I can't believe I'm leaving Japan tomorrow. Going to Vancouver and studying there have been my dream since I was 10. Actually, I've never thought I could work it out. I thought I should be on the life rail, which I have to work at some company after I graduate from college. It's really natural in my country. I still remember when my parents said "yes" to my dream. They are always supportive. They seem a bit sad about me leaving recently, but I know they are also happy for me. I can't wait to show them my favorite city. I'm sure they will love it.
I've never been apart from my family for that long so I hope I will be fine. haha I hope I can learn something through this trip though. Anything is fine, about my weak point or strong point, about living a lone, about good or bad things for both countries, Japan and Canada. And someday, it'll be all my wonderful memories. After I get to Vancouver, I'll be able to put lots of cool pictures. I will be so happy if someone think like "wow, I wanna go to Vancouver" because of my blog. haha
Next blog is gonna from Vancouver! See you then!!!
Smile everyone☆

Hirokouji Summer Festival
I went to the 57th Hirokouji summer festival with my friend today.
I LOVE summer festival, yatai (street stalls) and I LOVE eating!!! haha It's kinda funny that Japan has changed a lot in different ways, but summer festival itself havent changed AT ALL since I was little. Each stalls used really memorable tents as signborads. It was really colorful and looked cute. Yatai always reminds me of watagashi (cotton candy) and kingyo sukui (goldfish scooping). A lot of kids gathered these stalls and they
Not only kids had fun at the festival though!!! Their dads enjoyed beers with yakitori, moms enjoyed taking pictures of their kids, couples held thier hands and ate chocolate bananas together. There were lots of police there and they looked really strict, but when they had break, they enjoyed talking with local people. It's really fun for me to watch people.
I hope that kind of summer festival will be never gone. People wear yukata and dance Bon odori. Some people might say it's old style, but I think it's cool and we should tell our kids about it to continue for a long time.
